Three kinds of match
Two rights isn't the only way to agree on a film. Wanting to rewatch something is a different feeling from wanting to see it, so it makes a different kind of match.

One of you has seen it and wants to watch it again with the other. Whoever has seen it becomes the guide, marked with a candle. This is how you show someone your favourite.

You've both seen it and you both want it again. Nobody is guiding. You're just going back, and it gets its own shelf because it's a different feeling.
The night
Timezone maths, gone.
Pick a time and see it in both your zones while you pick, not after. A long distance schedule is meaningless until you say whose Friday.
When you're both in the theater, either of you starts the count. Both screens run three, two, one, and you press play on your own apps at the same second. If someone pauses for a snack, either of you can pull the clock back.

The rule that isn't a setting
Your swipes are yours.
Your partner cannot see what you swiped on until you've both wanted the same film. This isn't a toggle we could ship a bug in. The database rule that governs swipes only ever returns your own rows, and there is no query path to the other side of it.
Same for ratings: your skulls stay sealed until you've both cast them, so nobody anchors on the other's number.
The Crypt
The part that compounds.
Every completed night gets a recap: both your reactions plotted across the film's runtime, your verdicts side by side, and whatever you each called before it started. Miss by four skulls and it's a House Divided.
A year in, it's the only record of how the two of you watch horror. That's the part you won't want to lose.

- The Deck
- The swipe surface. Only films you can both actually stream get dealt.
- The Boneyard
- Films you both swiped left on. Buried, and never resurfaced, unless one of you digs it up.
- The Crypt
- The archive. Every night, every reaction timeline, the stats, the badges.
- Skulls
- The rating. One to five. Sealed until you've both cast yours.
- The theater
- Where the night happens. A shared clock, and nothing else on screen.
